Mr.
Funso Doherty - Managing Director
Mr. Funso Doherty, CFA is the Managing
Director of ARM Pension Managers and also serves as the Firm’s
Chief Investment Officer. Prior to this, he was a Vice President
and Senior Portfolio Manager at PNC Advisors, the investment
management unit of the PNC Financial Services Group, a U.S.
banking institution where he was responsible for managing a book
of investment management business for the bank. He managed
approximately $150 million in equity and fixed income assets.
Before his PNC experience, Funso worked in the Investment
Management Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he advised
and managed investment portfolios for the Firm’s private clients
comprising individuals, charitable organizations and private
foundations. Funso had earlier served as Senior Vice President
and Head of the Investment Management Division of Asset &
Resource Management Company limited (ARM), where he led a team
of portfolio managers and analysts. A pioneer member of the ARM
team, he managed equity and fixed income portfolios for
individuals, institutions and pension funds. He started his
career in the Audit and Business advisory practice of Arthur
Andersen, Lagos office (now KPMG).
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation of
the CFA Institute and he is a member of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is also a member of the
Boston Security Analysts Society and the Pittsburgh Society of
Financial Analysts. Funso holds a Masters in Business
Administration from Harvard Business School and earned a B. Sc.
in Accounting from the University of Lagos.
